Our Story

I’ve always been passionate about beauty and clinically effective skincare — you could call me a skincare nerd, fascinated by ingredients and how they interact with the skin to support and transform it. As a Physiologist with a background in Pharmacology, I spent over a decade researching how the body and skin respond to stress, exercise, and environmental exposure, and had the privilege of supporting Team GB across three Olympic and Paralympic Games.

My love of the outdoors — skiing, hiking, horse riding — showed me firsthand how vital UV protection and consistent, intentional skincare is to support skin health & reduce premature ageing. During a career break in my forties, whilst living in the French Alps, I saw dry, cracked, sunburnt lips and prematurely aged skin around the mouth every day. Inspired and determined to use my knowledge to drive innovation in skincare, ALBUS & FLORA was born.
